CONTRACT LAW

In this lesson, we're going to take a very simple introduction to the law of Contract and examine what a contract actually is. We're going to look at some of the basic definitions of a contract as well as the basic principles of a contract. In this video we shall introduce the concept of agreements in contract law, focussing specifically on the first aspect of the agreement, the offer. In this lesson we shall look at the distinction between an offer (which leads to the formation of a contract) and an invitation to treat (which does not). We shall then look at a couple of good examples in the case law where an invitation to treat was distinguished from an offer.
